Love is in the air

I guess first order of business today is to wish all a Happy Valentine's Day! It is not usually a big thing that we celebrate but it is noteworthy. We exchanged some gifts of things that we already needed anyways. Somthing that you might have guessed about my husband from a few posts ago is that he is pretty witty and likes to come up with clever little poems or songs or things like that. For occasions that cards are fitting he usually goes with a funny and a sweet. He has the need to search out funny sayings and try to find the best one. He also knows that while I enjoy the funny I don't always want that but require something more sweet or romantic. I think that I received one of the funniest cards ever this year!! I laughed so hard. I think that this might be a card worth scanning in to share with others or at least giving a little snip it recap of what it said. I'll work on getting that done tomorrow. I chuckled all day just thinking about Trey reading that card to me.

A side story of the day is that I came home after a long day and found a big bouquet of roses on the front door step. They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL and they were not mine. They belong to a family down the street who has the same house number as us except we are Rd. and she is Ct. We get their mail ALL the time. They are very lucky we are so nice to hand deliver their stuff all the time. They would miss some very important deliveries. I thought about keeping them.....just kidding;) I hopped in the car and happily delivered them. We usually do not do flowers on Valentine's Day so I pretty much knew they were not mine.

On another side note....I am feeling better. I am still having trouble eating after being so sick. Nothing really sounds or looks good to me but that will come eventually. My foot is healing up but I still have not run on it yet. I am going to try to start running again on Monday. I am finally able to take a full stride as of about Tuesday of this week without feeling a little catch in the arch of my foot which is what took the brunt of the fall. I am guessing that is a good thing. It is still pretty bruised but most importantly it is healing and as of now I do not forsee any other x-rays or scans being needed. Thanks to family and friends for checking in on me during the past two weeks of drama. We are on the mend in the Maharrey household.

Bri, so sorry to hear about yoru sickness and your foot. THis is why I enjoy reading blogs because I really don't know much about what is going on with other people if I don't see them that often. I hope you continue to get better!

ALso, I am so impressed about Trey and his poem writing. THomas use to do that...before we were married. Ha Ha!! I wouldn't mind a little love peom again!

Thanks for the compliments on my blog. You are so sweet! We hope to get things going soon. Have a great weekend!

I'm so happy to hear that you are feeling a little better. I can't imagine going through that pain with my foot. I am very impressed that you are going to run on Monday. Have I told you that I have "started" running on the treadmill at the gym? I absolutely hate running, but am giving it a try.

I would have been so bummed about the roses if I realized they were not mine! I'm glad that the two of you had a great Valentine's Day. You'll have to scan the card. It sounds like a great one!
