Well.....catching up from a great weekend is hard to do cause we were sad to see it end!! Our good friends ( and friends to many that read this blog) Taylor and Tori moved to the ATL almost a year ago!! It is so hard to believe that it has been that long ago but we make every effort to see them when we can. So.....since Tori had her 30th birthday on June 2nd Taylor came up with a plan to for us to do a surprise visit. We have been telling her we would be there June 20th and all the while plotted.
It was so hard to not to slip up and let her know when we were really coming. I am no good at secrets like that when they are so exciting. I can do it but I have to be on the ball. Friday we left town early so we could get there and hang out and be at the door waiting when she arrived home. When she put her key in the door I opened it up. She was SO SURPRISED!!!!!
We visited and got ready for a late dinner. We headed over to Nava in Buckhead which is an upscale southwest place. It was good and really a great atmosphere for us to catch up and laugh and be loud. We stayed up late and visited both nights. Saturday we went to Stone Mountain for the laser show and a picnic. For some reason there were tons of little roaches around. They were on the car when we got in to leave and then one got in the car somehow. Tori and I almost peed our britches while the guys laughed at us. It was touch and go for a moment but they found and destroyed it. All was well again afterwards!
It was such a good weekend and great to be able to do something so special!! My one regret is the fact that we did not get many pictures at all. We were all dressed up and cute on Friday and we were all so excited that we forgot to get the camera to take with us to dinner!! Saturday it was too hot and sticky to get any good pictures so that will have to wait till next time.
It is back to normal this week and things are looking to slow down a bit. This was a welcome break and should hold us over since we are so in vacation mode even though it is still just under two months away ;) I am already getting mentally prepared for a good 10 days of doing whatever we want!!!!!
