We are excited to announce that barring anything unforseen (like me going into labor on my own) that we will be having our little boy on August 11th at lunchtime ;) This week I feel so many emotions.....relief that we are at the end, excitement just to see who/what he will look like, anxiousness about the first few weeks with a baby etc...I could go on and on because as we all know the emotions run high anyways right now but especially as time gets closer.
As I reflect on this pregnancy I am thankful that we have made it through so many hurdles. At 5 weeks we had a scare and then all of the back and forth with preeclampsia and bedrest. I know that things could have been SO much worse and the outcome for us at so many points could have been much different than it stands now. I thank God for that daily for I know that it is with our faith in what he can do and prayers of SO SO many people out there on our behalf that we have gotten to this point. Pretty amazing.
We plan to spend this week finishing up last minute details and getting the kitchen stocked with food, drinks, snacks and anything else we can think of. Everything in the nursery is ready....we just need a baby! We also hope to get a little sleep this week too ;) I know that will go out the window pretty quickly when we get home.
For as much as we have hoped and prayed for this day to hurry up and get here now that it is almost here it feels surreal. It does not seem like we will have a baby in our arms next week. Pretty crazy to think about. We will be having a scheduled C-Section as mentioned before and that is still the plan due to blood pressure issues even though I have never completely developed preeclampsia. I am still borderline enough for the blood pressure to be of a concern so we are doing what is the safest for me and baby at this point. We ask for prayers once again for the surgery that day. For the baby's health and for my health and that at the end of the day when it is all said and done we are one happy healthy family.
I do not plan to blog again till next week so we will have someone post a pic and the details for us as soon as they can that day. All that info will also post to facebook once we get it on the blog so we can hit two places at once. Many Blessings!
