It is pretty much becoming a daily topic around our house that we need a vacation. We realize that having a baby pretty much relieves us of some of the trouble we had before picking vacation spots and how long we would stay and how we would use all this leisure time etc.. LOL. We will pick up our places to visit list again in a few years. At this point we are just looking for a weekend away somewhere....anywhere....relatively close. Time to relax and sleep and have a little something here and there to entertain us.
We are just so not sure what to do! If you had a weekend where would you go and what would you do?? What would be on the TOP of your list? Also, throw in any good places to eat while you are at it! Here are some thoughts we had below of places we frequent but are kinda wanting something different to do.
We go to Atlanta for weekend trips here and there to see our friends Taylor and Tori and we are making that trip at the beginning of June so that is probably not an option.
We lived in Birmingham for 4 years so it is hard to go there and get out and about and not see people we know and it is also hard to go there and not call all of our buddies and have them meet up with us but there are some good places to eat and plenty to get into.
Nashville.....well sadly this is usually a first on our list of places to go and mess around but with all that is going on there I'm not sure that would be the best place to go.
Chattanooga- Trey's brother and his wife live there. We have been there on several occasions just for a weekend getaway as well. We are kinda used to this spot as well.
So, my question remains.....are we missing something great close by that we should SEE or DO at any of these places or is there somewhere you and your family go for weekend getaways that is great. We just need an idea and we want it to be a good choice as we won't get many weekend getaways ;-)
Thanks for any thoughts you might have!

I'm waiting to hear what others say on this one because we are always looking for somewhere to go close by. Thank goodness our 10 year anniversary is coming up in August...so we'l probably go somewhere far away. My advice to you would be to take every opportunity you can to take a trip...a break away. It's something that Thomas and I haven't done near enough for just the two of us.
Well, you listed all of our close getaways. What about a bed and breakfast somewhere? I am anxious to hear other suggestions.
