Long time no blog! It has been a week since the last blog and it flew by. I guess when you start your week of with a bang like I did the last one it tends to go quickly. My week kind of stayed status quo so I was glad for the weekend to come. We had a great weekend hanging out and relaxing with friends. Some friends came over from Atlanta and Florence and we had a great time catching and of course we got to see cute Ava. Couldn't forget to mention her ;)
We are staying busy this month because it is that time again.....48 Weather Road Tour. This is something that we have to go to for work and there are times when they are in such remote places. Last week we went to Section?? Let me tell you....it was something. I will leave it at that for sake of not being ugly. So it is taking up all my Tuesdays in March which means it is cutting into Idol time. Just kidding. I am a fan but I would rather watch it on Tivo so I can fast forward through the commercials.
I think we have finally picked a time for our trip to California and found some good deals on plane tickets!! Yeah!! That was a major decision we needed to make and we finally got that taken care of this weekend. Now onto some planning of what we are actually going to do is starting. It was very productive.
Final note...I had an eye appointment with Jennifer Newby today. She is over here in Madison a few days a week. I must brag on her and say that she is really wonderful ;) If you need a doc you should give them a call and go see her. She is patient and caring and concerned with all her patients. It was great to see her in action and have such a great experience. They have a great support staff as well ;)

Sounds like you've had a quite a busy weekend. Don't you just LOVE catching up with friends?
So, do I really need to purchase one of those "severe weather" radios? I think that they are trying to scare everyone into getting one. :)
I am glad you got to catch up with some friends last weekend and make more plans for your trip. You guys are going to have so much fun.
I can't wait for your Tuesday road trips to be over! We miss you at Bonco. It seems like forever since we have gotten to visit!
So where did you guys decide on in California??
Also, to address Sunny's question about the radio....I broke down and got one last week when it was supposed to be stormy in the middle of the night. My theory is you won't be able to hear the siren unless it is very close to your house. Also got one because I would be the one to wake up the house if something was happening. My husband(Bri's brother) could sleep through an explosion!
Rach
Rach-
We decided to spend 2 nights at Fishermans Wharf where we can do Alcatraz and it has ton of other stuff. Then probably 2 nights in Napa Valley and spend our last night at the airport hotel. I think we are still missing a night or two in there but we have a big chunk of it planned. Trey found us some good plane tix too so we are making progress ;)
Sunny- I agree with Rach about the radio. My theory is that we are really close to a siren at our place but last time it did not wake us till the storm was right on us. Probably something to all the hype at the end of the day.
Love your new look!
I guess that I will have to get one of those weather radios. We use to live close to the sirens, but now we don't. I don't even think that I could hear them in the night at our old house. I've just heard that the radios are a pain with all of the alerts that you get. Some neighbors said that they actually keep theirs off for the majority of the time, but when "severe weather threatens", they bring them back out. I guess that I need to come along on one of your tours one Tuesday night. :)
I love the new blog, Bri! Did that same girl do it that's done other peoples or did you do it yourself? It looks great! It sounds like you've been busy like us. I haven't been to Bonco in a couple of times either. Maybe we'll get to catch up soon. Have fun on your road trips. I bet ya'll do go to some "hillbilly" towns. :) We have a weather radio because my husband is a weather geek. He should've been a meteorologist...seriously. It's nice having it for piece of mind when we go to sleep and the weather's bad, though.
Anna-
I got this layout from pyzam.com. It was really easy to use. Not as fancy or cute as the ones Hilary did but it works. You should take a look if you want a quick facelift. I can e-mail you on a few things to make it work and it only took about 15 minutes total to get it done once I picked the layout.
Love the looks of your blog!
#1 - I don't want a radio blaring (sp?) in the middle of the night when there is severe radio across the county. We don't have a siren close to us...but I do love to sleep.
#2 - thanks for the sweet comments. Sweet patients make things easy!
Jennifer
