Okay, I know people get tired of hearing about my job but it is where I spend most of my time like many people. Right now since we are without an operations manager I am getting to deal with all the little things that happen in the center instead of just the big stuff. As of 3:28 today I have done all these things below and a few other misc things that were not as bad. I have gone from kid to kid to kid. Feels like I am in a nurse's office instead of a science center. Oh well, some days here are good and some are bad. I would qualify this as a high risk day ;) You think!
Sat with an a sick tummy 8 year old as we waited for grandpa. He kept repeating that he was going to be sick. He also kept refusing the keep the green bucket next to him. I decided it was not a good time for him to be not listening to me.
Washed and band aided a cut from something random that happened to a little boy. Why do boys go to the one thing around them that they could get cut/scraped on? It is really a talent I think.
Ice packed a little girl's nose. She had a head on collision with another girl from her school.
Ice Packed a little boy who did not see a table when he bent down to grab his dollar. He got a little excited and forgot it was there maybe.
Various other ice packs have been used today for other small things an we have filled out two accident reports. Wow!! There is alot of activity going on here today. Those of you with multiple children must feel like this happens to you every day. Oh what fun we have to look forward to ;) At least I am getting life training for things to come with kids one day. That is what I keep telling myself anyhow.

I'm sure that all of the kids love having you as their nurse! I think that the kids just like to save it "all" for one day and see how well they can torture us! :)
Wow! I guess it's good practice, but I don't even know if you'll need that much practice for one of your own! Well, at least the incidents will be more spread out and not seem so hectic!
Way to hold down the fort!
