Hello all you guys in read-a-blog land! Trey here, poised and ready to another one of my highly anticipated blogs- today, I play on the word "we" and the many forms of meaning it has for me right now!
We: Bri and I are only about a week away from our vacation to San Francisco!!!! WE are going to have a blast! We love traveling with each other and we always have so much fun! This is a much needed vacation for both of us as we have been a bit stressed and stretched thin over the last few months. Above all the pictures, sightseeing, and bike-riding (Napa Valley, baby!) the thing i look forward to the most can be summed up in 1 word: We.
Wii: So today, before work, I stood in line, and finally got a Wii Fit! I got to Target at 6:50 (they open at 8) and was 2nd in line (before some "sweet" old lady just hopped line in front of me and another guy- they had 24 Wii Fits, so i didn't throw a "Wii Fit" to regain my coveted 2nd spot in line). It never ceases to amaze me how people act in these situations....its like standing in line to get something has an innate ability to bring out the "moron" in some people.
This one guy just kept ranting about how stupid the Wii Fit was and how the Wii was a "gimmick" and when he was a kid he played outside and he thinks the Wii is a waste of money (he also said that he hoped that the Wii Fit wouldn't break when his 145 lb wife- yes, he told us all how much she weighed!- used it), finally, after much idiotic ranting, I spoke up: " so what are you in line to get today?".....he said "Wii Fit.".........."oh," i replied. I wanted to say " hey dude, did it occur to you that the other 25 people in line might be excited about getting the Wii Fit? How 'bout you shut your mouth and either buy the thing for your wife, or go home, tell her you think it is a stupid waste of money (instead of all of us) and tell her that if she wants one so bad she can come stand in line at 7:30 in the morning to get one!"........but alas, my current spiritual goal to show others more love and grace helped me to do something I am unaccustomed to doing: I kept quiet.
WEEEEEEEE!: James and I went mt. biking twice this week. Saturday morning we went to Monte Sano. I took a camera with us to try to catch some of the sheer joy that is mountain biking. We took a couple of new routes and had a great time! There is nothing quite like the thrill of the trails! We came up on a "stunt" that I have seen before and have avoided, in large part because the direction I usually approach it is not what I would consider suitable for experimenting (read: I am afraid I would kill myself, or, I would get injured, make it out of the woods, and Bri would kill me when I got home!). However, this time, because we were approaching from a different direction (and because I saw a great opportunity show-off and take pics) I decided to give it a shot. It took me a couple of tries to get it right, but on the third run- I ramped off the stunt and landed injury-free!!!! Along with the rush of adrenaline, I got a feeling of 12-year-old-ish pride that had me giddy for the rest of the ride! Below is the great pic James took. WEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Hey Guys
This is Tara, Jason's sister. I just wanted to wish both of you a wonderful vacation and a happy week together!
I wantd a WII FIt for my birthday and was fortunate enough to be told that Best Buy had them in the store one day when I went there. But I will warn you. It will tell you your "body age" and "body fat percent." First it told me my fit age was about 8 years beyond my true age. Then it told me I was "obese."
Sounds like you guys are active and fit, especially if you bike a lot.
Enjoy your we, Wii, and weeeee's.
Thanks Tara for stopping by and wishing us a good trip. We are getting really anxious and are so ready to go.
I played around with the wii fit today. It is fun till the figure plumps up a bit ;) Trey is the more active one. I am positive he will be no where near obese or anything like that. Me on the other hand.....;)I know I could stand to lose a few but maybe this will spur me on.
Guys, I love your blog and I love you, too! Can't wait to hear about your upcoming trip and see the pics!! I know you will both have a great time!!
Call when you can!
Mom
I am SO excited for your trip!!! I know that you two really need a break and you deserve it! I can't wait to see the pictures that you come back with!!!
The Wii Fit sounds like it would be fun.
Congrats on the "stunt". I can't imagine biking through this heat right now!!!
Sunny
believe it or not, the heat is not that bad- maybe it is be cause we are having so much fun- that tends to make it more bearable!
I hope you guys have a great trip to California! I know that it will be great for you guys to get away for a while. Can't wait to see all of the cool pictures that you take!
I guess that answers the question:
"Do you ever take your Bike off any sweet jumps?"
I'm a little late in checking all the blogs here, but I loved the play on words with "we". Very witty. I love wordy things like that. Yes, I am a dork.
Hope the trip is great!
