Today is Sunday and I still do not feel recovered from coming home from our long and all to wonderful vacation. At some point the realization has to hit that I am going to have to pick up my pace if even just a little. I just still kinda have not settled back in and have just been drifting along. I think in large part due to my sleeping pattern or lack thereof. Sleep.......is not something that is really happening at our house. Even though it was just a two hour difference we are still not back on Bama time yet. We find ourselves asking each other at 1 am if the other is still awake. Usually the response is YEP wide awake from either of us!!! Because of the lack of sleep I have been dragging along not doing much and have not made a whole lot of effort to normalize things. One thing that does help me sleep is Mealtonin which you can buy over the counter and it is my new best bud when I have got to sleep. It is great when I take it but I decided that this weekend I would not take it and see if my body could self regulate. Has not happened yet so if all else fails I can take the supplement. It is non habit forming and all that good stuff but it still bugs me to have to take something. I am hoping our schedules this week will help in the sleep department.
In other news I join team Blizzard on Monday!!! I start along with a friend from work the program through Fleet Feet that is supposed to train you for a 5K. Whoo hoo!!! I am ready to get back to it. I know I can do the 3 miles and more on a treadmill but I have never been able to do it outside. They will teach us to train our breathing and build up endurance and to pace ourselves. I think this is just what I need to get out of my just got back from vacation funk! We will be going every Monday at 5:45 for the next 10 weeks.
An update on our house..........well there really is none. We listed it about a month ago and have not had really any interest. We had someone come by yesterday but things did not work out for them to see the house. They thought it was vacant so the realtor just came on in. I was napping and jumped straight out of bed and grabbed a robe and ran downstairs. The realtor apologized for just coming in and I told them if they would give me 10 mins to get out they could come back. I got out and came back two hours later and they had not come back by. That was annoying. Oh well.....we have a plan for if it does not sell and are prepared for either outcome. Just letting it be and waiting. That seems to work best in all things ;)
Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

That is awesome that you are training for a 5K. I hope that you get adjusted soon. Jason and I had a hard time adjusting when we got back from out there on our honeymoon. I love your new look. It is really cute! And I love hearing Crowder!
That is really annoying about someone popping in unannounced to look at your house. After we had sold our house in Kingsport, I was keeping my nephews and niece for a week. We went out one day to catch a movie and left the house in the BIGGEST MESS you have ever seen. When I got home, I noticed a couple of real estate agents cards INSIDE on my counter top. I was so embarrassed, yet at the same time a little angry since they were showing a house that had already sold. I hope that someone comes along soon and that you guys land a sale.
I am so excited about you and your training!! Keep me up to date on what is going on. And soon we can run some 5K's together. I hope things work out with the house. At least you have a back up plan!!
Love you guys!!!
Your blog looks great!! It has been awhile since I have had time to blog surf so I have enjoyed reading all of your posts and catching up with you! It sounds like you guys had a great trip to the West Coast and I am so impressed that you are training to run a marathon. I can't hardly run to my mailbox without getting out of breathe! Gook luck with it all. I know you will do great!
