Well, we announced it to most people at the beginning of the week so pretty much everyone knows by now but we wanted to let everyone know how things were going since I have not gotten to talk to anyone about it yet. I am in the 10th week and so far things have been good. There have definitely been some mornings that were better than others and evenings too but overall I have been great (and Trey has been super helpful). Anytime I do feel badly the nausea medicine they give you makes it all good and does not make you sleepy in the least so things can proceed as normal. I have still been able to workout pretty regularly on the treadmill and hope to continue doing this throughout the whole time or as long as I get the ok from the doctor.
We have our next appointment on February 3rd to do some optional First Trimester Screenings and then we have our next official 12 week appointment on February 4th! Our doctor is being cautious and is having me do the diabetes test at the February 4th appointment due to some family members having trouble with diabetes this year. We want to be aware of any potential problems as early as possible. We are hoping for good results from that but we know that we will be taken care of by our great doctor if something turns up with it.
We have so many emotions about this but I guess the biggest portion of what we feel is JOY! We are so happy and at the same time a little scared that we don't know all the right things to do or how things will be after the arrival with getting used all the changes. I think the best thing is for us to take this one day at a time and enjoy all the new things we are experiencing together. I pray every day for this baby and that it will be healthy and safe and that Trey and I really take the time to prepare for this huge change in our lives.
We invite you all to join along with us as we go through this journey. Our due date as of our last appointment was August 18th so I believe that is where we are sticking for right now according to the doctor.
Here is a picture of our little one.....as for preference...we have none. We want a healthy sweet little baby to love and it is fine by us whatever it is ;)

Congratulations, guys. Sorry I wasn't there Sunday night when you announced the news so I could congratulate you in person. I'm happy for you guys. You'll be just fine; I think you'll make great parents. Congrats again!
