28 Weeks and other updates...

Here we are at 28 weeks and it all seems to be happening so fast now! I am definitely showing at this point and the majority of my wardrobe consists of long flowy dresses. First, because they are comfortable. Second, because they hide my big fat baby ankles and swollen legs. Seriously, I never knew my feet could be this big...but alas they surprise me every day by getting a little bigger ;)

We have gotten lots of baby stuff done lately so I feel much better than I did a few weeks ago. The nursery should be ready to hold furniture and some baby gifts that we have already gotten in a few weeks! That is pretty exciting and scary all at the same time. We have two showers already planned. We have a baby shower at work on June 8th and then one in Florence on June 20th. I think we will have one at church but I am not sure when that happens.

We have been trying to read to Cooper at least three nights a week or so. We bought some Dr. Seuss books and Trey has been reading to him. I do not really feel him move more while Trey is reading but afterwards I feel like he moves around for a good while. It is just some good time for us to relax and spend together talking about and to our baby ;)

We had a doctor's appt Wednesday and the doctor checked me out and all looked pretty good. I now begin going to the doc EVERY two weeks! That seems nuts!! Because of the severity of the swelling she ordered more bloodwork and a urine screen for me after my visit I think just as an extra precaution to rule out preeclampsia. I went to the lab to get stuck which totally does not bother me at all anymore. Then came the fun part......getting told to collect your pee all day long. The real kicker is that not only do you collect your pee but it has to stay cold too!! It was definitely one of the weirdest things I have done so far. I dropped it off at the lab this morning so hopefully by Friday morning I will know for sure whether I have preeclampsia.

That is alot of randomness in that post but I think it gets some basic updates in ;) We have lots coming up this month including the arrival of a new baby for best buddies in Atlanta who we hope to see VERY soon, baby showers and childbirth classes!
