New Job

I will have been at home with Cooper just shy of a year when I return to work at the beginning of January. I have loved every minute of being home with my sweet little boy but I have also had somewhat of a need that has not been filled. I have not quite been able to put my finger on it for the past few months. It is just something that has kind of been nagging at me. So, with a lot of prayer as to what I should do and talking with my sweet and supportive husband I decided to look for a part time job. I have always worked and think I just don't know how to not work AT all even thought staying at home is working (very hard) but it's just different. Something I cannot explain.

I had been looking casually when an e-mail went out to our class at church for a position at the United Cerebral Palsy Center for an events assistant. I thought....right up my alley!! I checked into and never heard anything back and thought they filled the position. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call last Thursday to come in on Monday of this week. After the interview I got the job on the spot if I wanted it. I took some more time to think things over before taking the plunge but I think I am ready!

It is super part time so only 10-15 hours per week and no hours three months out of the year. A great way to ease back into doing something and Cooper will be going to daycare about 2 days a week. Totally new experience for us but I think he is going to LOVE the social outlet. He is so friendly and loves other kids.

Please pray for us as we make this transition. I think this new balance will be just what I need to fulfill my desire to work but to also still be at home with our little one for the majority of the week.

I start Jan 4th! So, wish us luck as we embark on once again a new journey!
