First Week other Updates

I had my first week of work last week and LOVED it!! I am working two days a week and Cooper is enrolled in a daycare for those days. It was such a breath of fresh air and I think just what both of us needed. When I dropped him off I had no idea how he would do with napping on a cot, eating whatever they served for lunch and not just his favorite things, playing with other kids all day etc. He did GREAT!!!! His teacher said he was wonderful and napped perfectly and without his PACI!! He also did not have any hitting issues which has been a big one for us lately. W-O-W! I felt like the time I had at home the other days of the week was much more intentional and spent reading to Cooper and more actively playing with him. I really felt like he was much more interested in playing too. It was a wonderful week and I really am grateful for this opportunity that was placed before me at just the perfect time ;-0

Also, I joined a gym as well as a month long boot camp two EARLY mornings a week that will go on in February. I have been messing around with this last bit of weight for several months now. I have about 15 I would love to get off that was original pre baby I work WAY too much and don't have time to work out or eat right weight ;-) I love aerobics in any form so I joined up at the wellness center because it is 2 seconds from my house, I could do a classes only package and they have a great variety. Last week I was sick so I only got to go twice. It was awesome though. I really forgot being away from the gym setting for a year and a half how much harder you work when you have some accountablilty. You can't cop out in the middle or slack off! I am really looking forward to going 4-5 days a week for an hour.

I guess this post probably sounds a little or maybe even ALOT selfish but I have realized that I cannot be with Cooper every minute. He needs a break from me and me from him. A healthy and well balanced mom is a GREAT one. Whatever it is that helps you find balance whether it be a hobby, exercise, working or all of the above I encourage you to pursue it in some form or fashion! I still spend alot of time with him and have decided in 2011 that my guilt over wanting to do a few things for me will not be front and center.
