House Front & Another Bit of News

Most people know by now we have a house for sale ;-) Our house has been on the market 7 months now. We have redone our kitchen, we have dropped the price twice and had about 3 open houses and over 20 showings at this point and only 1 person look for a second time.

Fortunately, we still have a contract on the new house we originally fell in love with for now BUT the builders rep thinks it might sell before ours does. Their traffic has picked up significantly. So, we were faced with the decision a few weeks ago to sign a contract to build another house with them in case that one sold. They gave us same price we offered and all other conditions we negotiated. Pretty good deal...right?

Right... but the kicker is we found out we are pregnant in January ;-) So, before we just hoped our house would sell but no big deal if it takes forever. Still annoying but ok. Now, we are singing a different and much more stressed tune. Last week we finally decided to sign the papers and build. We just took a leap of faith that our house will sell sooner rather than later. This house will take 3-4 months to build and we will move into it if our original house sells.

As for the mean time. We are packing up a lot of stuff in our house and putting it in storage close to the new house. How's that for a statement. We are at the point where we literally can do nothing else. We don't think putting anymore money into the house will help, as of tomorrow we will have de cluttered as much as possible and we have another open house in 2 weeks.

We are praying that we can get moved in before a new arrival gets here in September. In case you did not catch that earlier in the post we are pregnant with baby #2. We are 11 weeks today and are looking at sometime around September 27th good lord willing if we have no issues. I'll have another c-section so it's easier to be more exact with dates.
