It is Done!

This week was sooo busy!! Just two more weeks before we slow down with school groups and get about a two week breather before summer camps start ;) Yeah!!!! Today a scary thing almost happened.....I almost had to teach a class. We were short handed with two of our teachers out at local schools doing programs. We had a school come today that wanted to add some programming and we have a director that says NEVER to turn anything down. So......I said sure they could have a class for 85 kids. No problem ;) Then I realized that we had one person to teach. Luckily, we were able to get in touch with the gals out on the road and one was able to get loose and come back and catch the afternoon classes. I can assure you that I would have been fine with the kids but I am not totally sure how much they woud have learned. My guess is NOTHING! The topic was chemical reactions and pretty much I have one trick and am good for nothing but straight entertainment after that. It could have gotten a little sticky but I guess we would have managed. One thing I can say about my job is that there is NEVER a dull moment.

An update on the air situation is that.......we still have our appt with Huntsville Utilities NEXT week for the rebate program they offer!! AMEN!! Then we can decide what quote to go with since we get the efficiency report within an hour. Bottom line is that we should have someone by next Friday secured to get the work done and I am guessing starting the following week. We have resorted two nights this week to camping on the futon mattress in the living room downstairs where we do have AC. This has not been that bad other than just messing up the house by having things out of order a good bit. We had some nice birds that so persistently woke us up this morning. You would have thought they were have a conversation the way they were going back and forth. It was so loud and obnoxious and we wanted to be mad and grumpy but it got to a point where it was just so funny the way they were carrying on so we laughed and went ahead and rolled out of bed and got going for the day.

We are headed to Florence this evening to celebrate Mother's Day weekend with our families. We hope everyone has a good one and we'll catch you next week!
