Life Lessons and Two Clicks Away

This weekend was a good one but went too quickly. We had my sister and neice in town Saturday and Sunday. We enjoyed having them here and it was nice to get caught up. On Saturday I learned a very valuable lesson. 1.) That if your intuition is telling you to go ahead and do something......just do it. and 2.) That in Huntsville there are no gas stations downtown that I know of. This all came about since I got the new car with the gas mileage reader in it. I always wait till it blanks out on me to get gas. Go figure....I like to live on the edge ;) So.....I was running behind and headed towards the VBC to meet my sister and I ignored about 12 gas stations along the way. Go me! I drove all around downtown, got lost a few times (so badly that my GPS almost could not help me) and barely made it to a gas station. All that trouble when all I had to do was stop at any of the several safe gas stations instead of being in such a hurry. I know you are thinking that there is one on the corner of clinton but that did not work out so well for me ;) You can ask me about that one if you like.

Last night we finally got everything booked for our trip to California. We worked on it pretty heavy a few months ago and then nothing. We got distracted and did not do anything with all of that great research. So.....since I have obviously had VACATION on the brain we finally nailed down the major details last night. We will oficially be in California from July 29 - August 5th. Whoo Hoo!!!! We are staying at the Hilton at Fisherman's Wharf for till Aug 2nd and then heading over to Napa Valley for our last few days. It is looking to be a good time and we are now for sure in planning mode since we bought plane tickets and booked all hotel rooms. We are ready!!! Last night as we were putting in all of the info for rooms and plane tickets Trey so astutely noticed that it was just "two clicks away" on the calendar each time. That means we are getting closer!! I can hardly contain my excitement!!!

On the air front.....still none upstairs.......Trey is tired of me complaining about it I feel sure. I really should get a life and get over it. Really, there are people much worse off that I could even think about having it. Therefore, I make a pledge to keep it zipped till all this gets fixed. I will try at least. I'm not perfect ya know ;)

Things are not looking to slow down at work anytime soon but at least I can never complain that I do not have enough to do. Guess that is all for now.

Can I go on the vacation with ya'll? I could use it! You won't even notice me. I'll keep my mouth shut the whole time. Just kidding! Hope the air situation gets better. I think I would be voicing my opinion, too. :)
