This weekend Trey and I headed to Atlanta to see our best buddies over there. We had a great time relaxing and catching up. The past few times we were in Atlanta we had mentioned wanting to check out IKEA to each other and just never have had the time built in at the beginning or end of the trip. This time we put some time in the schedule for a visit over there Sunday afternoon since we got to stay an extra day this time. This place is our happy place. It is like Disney (one of the greatest places ever) except closer and there are no rides but....work with me here ;)
It is the greatest place on earth for anything you can think of for your home. They have anything and everything (not joking) that could ever think of. They have cool and creative ways to make the most of your space whether you have 300 square feet or more. It is so neat because they set up pretend spaces with actual furniture you could fit into that square footage. They have all kinds of styles and they set up different looks throughout for you and they tell you how much all the different rooms cost for everything you see. It is just so NEAT!!
The best part of all is that is is so stinkin CHEAP!!!!! I have no idea as to the long term quality of this stuff but it is all so pretty! We know people who have purchased items from there and never had a problem and I think they have been around for a while as a company but that is about all I know. They have cute duvet covers for beds and we have a king size for as cheap as 30 bucks for what you would pay 150 at Pottery Barn. We were there for an hour and a half I think?? I just know we got there when it was sunny and left when it was dark at 8 pm. You get sucked in to the massive building with winding aisles of cool STUFF everywhere! We figured out as we were leaving why they have a cafeteria there ;) So you can shop for a few hours then rest and resume the hunt for your bargains. When I say this place is BIG I mean it is BIG!!!
Trey and I grabbed a few catalogs and are making our lists!! You should definately check it out.

I'm glad that you guys got over to Atlanta! I've always heard of IKEA, but for some reason always pictured it as a very expensive store. I love finding all kinds of things for storage and organization. That store might be one that I need to stay away from!
I have never even heard of that place but it sounds like something I should check out. I am always looking for a good deal. Are they only in big cities?
I have seen IKEA on TV, and thought it was expensive too! I think when Kate (From Jon and Kate plus 8) went to get furniture to organize their basement that's where they went! I love that kind of stuff, but I definitely don't have room or money for it right now! It would be fun to look around, though! :)
Glad you had a fun relaxing weekend--you definitely deserve it! :)
