Where to start!! We have been as usual so very busy lately! We had a wonderful trip to Atlanta a few weeks ago and spent alot of time with baby Tessa and Taylor and Tori. It was fun as always and we wished we could have stayed longer. I cannot seem to slow down because right after the weekend in Atlanta I attended a baby shower given by my work, then hosted Bunco and worked two more looong days!!
I think I have FINALLY realized that I need to slow down in the home stretch. The swelling is outta control some days and I have had to go through the Preeclampsia testing TWICE now! At the doc last week they were concerned because of an eleveated blood pressure so I went through a non stress test for a while and that turned out well. Dr. C said when she walked in the room before doing anything else looked at the calendar and said they probably would not let me go past 39 weeks at the longest. That means the time is MUCH closer than what it says on the baby ticker at the top! I have another dr. this wednesday and from here on out I am guessing it could be every week sooner than it was supposed to be? I am hoping we will find out more at our visit this week.
We got tons of great stuff at the shower last week and we have another shower in Florence this weekend. This will be family and friends from both sides. We are doing one big shower instead of a few smaller ones. It should be a great time and after this one we will need to get serious about what we still need to buy to prepare for our little guy. We will have a church shower still at some point but we have not heard when it will be and I do not want to be without some essentials if Cooper comes early!
We hope to have the nursery totally done by the second week of July or so I think is a good goal. I cannot wait to see it all come together!! Also, we had great success at IKEA finding two chairs, some new comforters, a small dresser for our new guest room and tons more!! I know I posted post construction pics of our house but now I will need to take some NEW pics to document the fact that we have pretty much rearranged the WHOLE house and given it a makeover over the past month. We are getting so close with only the office and nursery remaining to be finished. We are in the homestretch!
I also wanted to mention that I ordered a diaper bag and a diaper doodle (cute diaper and wipes holder) from these gals below. I cannot wait to see how it turns out. Both girls are so talented and have a great eye for cute fabric and have some great ideas to pass along on their blog too. I posted their button below so you can take a look at their website and also you should check out their Etsy site as well!!
